Richardson Firm Wins $5.6 Million Judgment in Fraud and Fiduciary Duty Case
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
At Richardson Firm PLLC, we advocate for justice in complex business litigation.
In January 2025, we successfully represented the plaintiffs in a fraud and breach of fiduciary duty lawsuit, securing a court judgment of $5,661,529.
Following a trial, the District Court of Travis County ruled in our clients’ favor, awarding:
- $1,652,186 in total compensatory damages covering financial losses, lost investment and rental income, undisclosed tax kickbacks, and tax-related expenses, plus $324,840.17 in prejudgment interest.
- $3,304,373 in exemplary damages for fraudulent conduct.
- $380,130 in reasonable attorneys' fees.
- A constructive trust and exclusive ownership rights over valuable real estate.
The final judgment is pending collection as to all amounts and relief awarded. Although an appeal has been filed, we will vigorously oppose any effort to set the judgment aside.
Jim Richardson served as lead counsel in the case. He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
